Message of condolences by Foreign Minister Taro Kono following the damages caused by the explosion of an oil pipeline in Hidalgo State, Mexico

Following the damages resulting from the explosion of an oil pipeline on 18 January (local time) in Hidalgo State, Mexico, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered the following message of condolences to H.E. Mr. Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States.
1. I am deeply grieved and saddened at the news of the explosion of an oil pipeline in Hidalgo State, Mexico, resulting in the loss of many lives.
2. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and offer my sincere sympathies to all of the affected people.
