MIRAI Program・2018 5th Group (Science, Technology)
1. From January 23rd to 30th, 42 graduate and undergraduate students from Europe will visit Japan as members of the fifth group of MIRAI Program 2018 (Theme: Science, Technology), promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
2. The fifth group will visit Tokyo and Hiroshima to experience various aspects of Japanese science, technology and society including traditional Japanese culture. In addition, the students will attend academic lecture at Shibaura Institute of Technology and exchange views with Japanese students. In Hiroshima, students will visit the Peace Memorial Park, listen to stories of hibakusha (survivors of the atomic bombing) and learn the realities of the atomic bombing.
3. Through the program, students are expected to deepen their understanding of Japan and actively deliver messages about their experiences in Japan even after they return to their own countries.
