Foreign Minister Kono to Visit Jordan

1. Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to visit the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from April 27 to May 1.
2. Minister Kono is scheduled to serve as co-chair of the Aqaba Process Meeting, a venue for discussing terrorism and violent extremism, alongside the King of Jordan. Minister Kono is also scheduled to hold the sixth Ministerial-Level Meeting of the Four-Party Consultative Unit for the “Corridor for Peace and Prosperity,” which is a framework for regional cooperation among Palestine, Israel, Jordan and Japan.
