Minister Kono’s visit to Okinawa

1. Foreign Minister Taro Kono is scheduled to visit Okinawa from December 1st to 2nd.
2. During the visit, Minister Kono will hold meetings with Lt. Gen. Lawrence D. Nicholson, Okinawa Area Coordinator of the U.S. forces, Japan as well as local people such as Mr. Takeshi Onaga, Governor of the Okinawa Prefecture.
3. On this occasion Minister Kono is scheduled to participate in dialogue with local economic circles to contribute to the revitalization of Okinawa.
