The Inauguration of Mr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa as New President of the Republic of Zimbabwe

1. On the inauguration of Mr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa as President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, the Government of Japan hopes that the new administration will make a smooth start under the leadership of the new President.
2. Japan hopes that democracy and economic development will be further promoted in Zimbabwe, and will continue its support to the people of Zimbabwe in their efforts for the realization of these goals. In this regard, Japan is committed to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
