1. Japan is closely following the situation in the Gulf region in the Middle East with concern.
2. Japan considers that it is vitally important for the peace and stability of the Middle East that the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is maintained.
3. Japan continues to place importance on friendly relations with the GCC States.
