Messages of condolence from Foreign Minister Kishida on the terror attack in Stockholm, Sweden
On April 8, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, conveyed the following message to H.E, Ms. Margot Wallström, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, regarding the terrorist attack that occurred in Stockholm, Sweden on April 7.
“I would like to offer my prayers for the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred in Stockholm, as well as my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and my sympathies to the wounded.
Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, and Japan firmly condemns such an act of terrorism.
On behalf of the Japanese Government and people, I wish to express my solidarity with the Swedish Government and its people. In this difficult time, Japan stands with the Kingdom of Sweden.
In close cooperation with the international community including Sweden, Japan will continue its efforts to combat such inhuman and despicable acts of terrorism.”
