Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Motome Takisawa Receives a Courtesy Call from Participants in the Youth Invitation Program from Israel and Palestine

1. On December 12, commencing at 2:45 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. Motome Takisawa, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from a delegation of invitees from the Youth Invitation Program from Israel and Palestine (five Israelis and four Palestinians), who are visiting Japan from December 11.
2. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Takisawa explained that he hopes that during this visit to Japan the youths hold many dialogues on building a peaceful society, and that on the basis of the relationship of trust built while visiting Japan, they will work together to construct a peaceful and prosperous future.
3. The invitees expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in this program, which has a history of around 20 years, and for the huge contributions Japan makes to the Middle East. They stated that this program for visiting Japan is as important as the “Corridor for Peace and Prosperity” initiative in terms of building bridges between Israel and Palestine.
