Ambassadors’ Annual Study Tour to Imabari City
1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan with Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture as co-organizer will organize “Ambassadors’ Annual Study Tour” to Imabari City for the Diplomatic Mission in Japan from October 17 to October 19, 2016.
2. The Ambassadors’ Annual Study Tour has been offered in cooperation with local governments in Japan since 1988, as one of the way to strengthen the ties with the Ministry and local governments. The tour aims to appeal the charms, nature, industries, cultures of Japan’s local areas, as well as to enhance the participants’ understanding and a sense of affinity on Japanese nature and traditional cultures.
3. During this year’s tour, participants will visit Shimanami Kaido, Murakami Suigun Museum, Oyamazumi Shrine and Treasure House, local companies, and also have an opportunity to mingle with students of a local high school.

Ambassadors accredited to Japan and their spouses: 6 countries and 1 delegation, 9 people (as of October 7)
