The Bombing Incident in Gaziantep, Turkey

1. In relation to the large number of casualties arising from an bombing incident that occurred at wedding hall in Gaziantep, the Republic of Turkey, on August 21 (August 20, local time), Japan extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved families, and expresses its heartfelt sympathy to those who were injured.
2. Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, and Japan firmly condemns such act of terrorism. Japan expresses its strong solidarity with the Government and people of Turkey.
