  1. 1. On August 2, the Government of Japan decided to extend Emergency Grant Aid of 3 hundred thousand US dollars through United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and World Health Organization (WHO) for multi-antigen vaccination campaigns in Syria.

    2. This emergency grant aid is to provide support for nationwide multi-antigen vaccination campaigns in Syria, such as vaccination plan and coordination, the procurement of multi-antigen vaccines and social communication activities for the campaigns, in light of the situation that the vaccination coverage rates of people inside Syria such as measles have sharply declined because of limited public health services due to the crisis in Syria.
