Emergency Grant Aid in response to Yellow Fever Outbreak

  1. 1. On July 29, the Government of Japan decided to extend Emergency Grant Aid of 3.5 million US dollars to the Republic of Angola and the Democratic Republic of the Congo through World Health Organization (WHO), International Organization for Migration (IOM) and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

    2. This emergency grant aid is to provide humanitarian assistance such as technical assistance to prevent the spread of the disease, provision of materials in need for carrying out vaccination campaign, social communication to local communities and improvement of the border control capacity, in light of Yellow Fever outbreak which was detected the Republic of Angola late in December 2015.
