The 4th Japan-US Cyber Dialogue
1. The 4th Japan-US Cyber Dialogue will be held in Washington D.C. on July 27th, 2016.
2. At this dialogue, based on the necessity for whole-of-government efforts by both Japan and the United States, participants will follow up on the outcome of the 3rd Japan-US Cyber Dialogue held in July 2015 and other meetings and have a discussion on a wide range of Japan-US cooperation on cyber issues, including situational awareness, critical infrastructure protection and bilateral cooperation in the international arena, including capacity building.
3. Mr. Koichi Mizushima, Japan’s Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy and Deputy Director-General of Foreign Policy Bureau, will lead the interagency delegation representing relevant ministries and agencies, such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Security Secretariat, National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity, Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office, National Police Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ministry of Defense. From the US side, Mr. Christopher Painter, Coordinator for Cyber Issues, Department of State, will lead the US interagency delegation representing Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and others.
