1. The 11th Japan-Iran Director-General Talk / the Steering Committee of the 1st Japan-Iran Cooperation Council will be held in Tehran, the capital city of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on June 6 and 7.

2. This Talk is to be attended by Mr. Tsukasa Uemura, Director-General, Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Farazandeh, Director General, Department of East Asia & Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The two sides will exchange the views on the bilateral relations as well as the regional situations in the Middle East and East Asia.

3. This Director-General Talk is positioned as the Steering Committee of the Japan-Iran Cooperation Council (PDF) which both sides concurred to establish when Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, visited Iran in October last year. The progress of the respective working groups between the authorities of the two countries is also to be discussed.
