Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kikawada to Visit Singapore

  1. Mr. Hitoshi Kikawada, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Singapore from March 17 to 19 to attend the High Level Meeting to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP).
  2. Japan has been supporting counter piracy efforts of the ReCAAP Information Sharing Center since its inception. In addition, Japan has been supporting the capacity building of maritime law enforcement agencies of the coastal states. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kikawada will attend the 10th anniversary meeting to demonstrate Japan’s active stance in continuing to support counter piracy efforts in Asia.
