The Bombing Incident in Ankara, Turkey

1. In relation to the large number of casualties arising from an incident believed to be a suicide bombing terrorist attack that occurred in Ankara, the Republic of Turkey, on February 18 (February 17, local time), Japan extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved families, and expresses its heartfelt sympathy to those who were injured.
2. Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, and Japan firmly condemns such act of terrorism. Japan expresses its strong solidarity with the countries concerned, including Turkey.
