Former Prisoners of War (POWs) from the United States Invited to Japan

1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will invite a total of 10 former American prisoners of war (POWs) and their caregivers to Japan from December 6 to 14.
2. This is the second group of the program this year, and the program aims to promote mutual understanding between Japan and the United States in order to encourage reconciliation of minds by inviting former American POWs and their caregivers to Japan, who have particular sentiments toward Japan due to their experiences during World War II.
