The 4th Annual Japan-UK Nuclear Dialogue
1. On 24 (Tuesday) and 25 (Wednesday) November, the fourth Annual Japan-UK Nuclear Dialogue was held in London.
2. The Dialogue discussed a range of subjects relevant to nuclear policy including nuclear safety and regulation, decommissioning and clean up, and nuclear research and development.
The co-chairs, Mr. Yoshitoshi Nakamura, Deputy Director-General, Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Science Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Professor Robin Grimes, FCO Chief Scientific Advisor, expressed that the Fourth Annual UK-Japan Nuclear Dialogue had enabled important discussions and set the scene for further UK-Japan cooperation in the area of civil nuclear energy.
