Message of Condolences from Prime Minister Abe and Foreign Minister Kishida for the Damage Caused by the Earthquake in Afghanistan and Pakistan

In the wake of the damage caused by the earthquake that struck Afghanistan and Pakistan on 26 October, messages were sent from Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister to H.E. Dr. Mohammad Ashuraf Ghani, President of Afghanistan, and H.E. Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and from Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs to H.E. Mr. Salahuddin Rabbani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and H.E. Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, on October 27, extending condolences to the affected people and wishes for rapid rehabilitation and reconstruction of the affected areas and conveying Japan's readiness to provide assistance as a friend of both countries.
