The Thirteenth Round of Negotiations for the Japan-Colombia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
1. From August 31 to September 4, the Thirteenth Round of Negotiations for the Economic Partnership Agreement between Japan and Colombia was held in Tokyo.
2. From the Japanese side, Mr. Toshiro Suzuki, Ambassador for International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from relevant ministries attended the meeting. From the Colombian side, Mr. Javier Humberto Gamboa Benavides, Chief Negotiator, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, and representatives from relevant ministries and agencies participated.
3. In this round of negotiations, progress has been achieved in such areas as Trade in Goods and Rules of Origin, among others.
4. Both sides decided to work on scheduling the dates of the next round of negotiations through diplomatic channels.
