Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Nakane to Visit Timor-Leste and the Maldives

1. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Nakane will visit Timor-Leste and the Maldives from Thursday, July 23, to Tuesday, July 28.
2. During his stay in Timor-Leste, he is scheduled to attend the Meeting of the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries) Council of Ministers to deliver a speech on Japan’s contribution to resolving global challenges and strengthening cooperation with CPLP to that end. In addition, he is going to exchange views with government officials of Timor-Leste on bilateral relations and regional affairs.
3. During his stay in the Maldives, he is scheduled to attend the ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Maldives, and to have meetings with government officials of the Maldives to exchange views on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.
