1. On July 17, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will jointly host the 18th Regional Promotion Seminar with Kanagawa-ken・Sagamihara-shi,　Saitama-shi, Toyota-shi・Mitake-cho and Chiba-ken・Matsudo-shi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2. This seminar will give local governments an opportunity to promote their policies and appeal of attraction of their respective regions to the diplomatic corps in Tokyo, and it will be held as a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ projects for supporting various international initiatives by local governments.

3. At this seminar, participating local governments will give presentations about their industries and policies etc. in their respective regions. Additionally, following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for local governments and the diplomatic corps to interact freely, and this is expected to promote foreign diplomats’ understanding for each region of Japan and foster the creation of networks between the local governments and the diplomatic corps.
