In the wake of the damage in Nepal caused by the earthquake that hit the country on 25 April, Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister, and Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, sent messages respectively to the Right Honourable Mr. Sushil Koirala, Prime Minister, and the Honourable Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on April 25, extending condolences to the affected people and wishes for rapid rehabilitation and reconstruction of the affected areas and conveying Japan's readiness to provide assistance.
