Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida Issued a Messages of Condolence following the shooting terrorism incident in Copenhagen, Denmark
Following a shooting terrorism incident that occurred in Copenhagen, Denmark which resulted in casualties, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs sent the following message to H.E. Mr. Martin Lidegaard, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark on 15th of February.
I was saddened to hear the report that Danish nationals were killed and injured by the shooting terrorism incident. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and you. At the same time I wish those injured will recover as soon as possible. Japan stands with Denmark at this difficult time.
I am immensely outraged by this vicious terrorism act which attacked the freedom of expression and pluralistic values and I resolutely condemn it.
Japan will continue to engage in the fight against terrorism in cooperation with Denmark and the international community.
