Study Tour to Koya Town, Wakayama Prefecture by the Diplomatic Corps in Japan

1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize a Study Tour with Koya Town, Wakayama Prefecture for the diplomatic corps in Japan on December 4 and 5.

2. These regional study tours are held every year by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments in order to showcase regional attractions such as culture and industries for diplomats in Japan.

3. During this Study Tour, the diplomats are scheduled to visit the town’s historical and cultural-related facilities and a location designated as a World Heritage site, in order to deepen their understanding of Koya Town.

4. Expected participants:20 diplomats from 14 countries

Bahrain, Lesotho, Zambia, Singapore, Armenia, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the Philippines, India, Ethiopia, Argentina, Latvia and Venezuela.

December4 : Daimon Gate, Kongou-buji head temple, Danjo-garan and Temple lodging.
5 : Koyasan Reihoukan Museum, Okuno-in, Koya Town Shopping Street and Daishi-kyoukai.
