Statement by Foreign Press Secretary Kuni Sato on the formation of the new cabinet in Yemen

1. Japan welcomes the formation of the new cabinet in Yemen, headed by Prime Minister Khaled Bahah on November 7.
2. Japan strongly expects that all Yemeni political groups will work together constructively with President Abdraboh Hadi and the new cabinet for the national development of Yemen and stable security situation in Yemen along the line of the Peace and National Partnership Agreement signed among the political groups on 21 September.
3. Japan will continue to support Yemen’s efforts toward further political stability.
