Dispatch of Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Team (Japan Self-Defense Forces) in Response to the Disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines Plane

1. On Wednesday, March 12, at 17:47 pm, one Japanese Self-Defense Forces C-130 aircraft with approximately 20 crew members aboard departed Okinawa-Naha for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to form part of the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Team in response to the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines plane.
2. The Team will begin rescue operations in earliest possible time after arrival.
