Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden

1. H.E. Mr. Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden will make a working visit to Japan upon invitation by the Minister for Foreign Affairs from February 26 to 28.

2. During his stay in Japan, Foreign Minister Bildt is scheduled to meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida. Among the topics scheduled to be discussed at this Japan-Sweden Foreign Ministers’ Meeting are bilateral relations, including cooperation in the security area, and regional affairs.

3. This visit to Japan by Foreign Minister Bildt is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Japan and Sweden.
