Visit to Japan by H.E. Dr. Abu Bakr Abdullah Al-Qirbi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen

1. H.E. Dr. Abu Bakr Abdullah Al-Qirbi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, will visit Japan from December 1 to 5 upon invitation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
2. During his stay in Japan, Minister Al-Qirbi is scheduled to hold a meeting with H.E. Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. The two Ministers are expected to have discussions on bilateral relations such as Japan’s contribution and cooperation with Yemen, which is pursuing a transition of power after achieving a peaceful change of administration in 2012. They will also discuss regional affairs, from the standpoint of making a “proactive contribution to peace” based on international cooperation.
