Terrorist attacks in Afghanistan

  1. Japan condemns in the strongest possible terms the series of terrorist attacks which occurred in Afghanistan from 19 to 22 April, including the attacks against educational facilities in Kabul and mosques in provincial cities.
  2. Attacks against innocent civilians are unacceptable for any reason. We express our heartfelt condolences to the victims and the bereaved families and pray for the swift recovery of those who were injured.
  3. Japan expresses its strong solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and will continue to make its best efforts towards peace and stability in Afghanistan in collaboration with the international community including the countries in the region.
