Commission of Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs to Dr. KOTANI Motoko,
Executive Vice President for Research of Tohoku University

 On April 1, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan commissioned Dr. KOTANI Motoko, Executive Vice President for Research of Tohoku University, Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

 Dr. KOTANI is the successor of Prof. KANO Mitsunobu, Professor of Okayama University, who concluded his 3 years of activities as Science and Technology Co-Advisor at the end of March, and supports the activities of Prof. MATSUMOTO Yoichiro who has been serving as Science and Technology Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs since April 2020.

 It is expected that Dr. KOTANI’s advice and activities as Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs will further enhance Japan's science and technology diplomacy.
