Current Situation in Ethiopia

- On 4th November, a clash occurred following the attack by Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) against Ethiopian Army stationed in the Tigray Region, northern part of Ethiopia. The Government of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia declared a State of Emergency in the Region after the attack.
- Japan is concerned that if the situation escalates further, it could destabilize Ethiopia as well as the region. Japan expects the situation to resolve as early as possible.
