  1. In relation to the large number of casualties arising from a tragic shooting that occurred in Quebec City, Canada, on January 29, Japan extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved families and expresses its heartfelt sympathy to those who were injured.
  2. Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, and Japan firmly condemns such act of terrorism. Japan expresses its strong solidarity with the Government and people of Canada.
