1 Japan welcomes the release of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko on May 25.
2 "The release and exchange of all hostages and unlawfully detained persons" is an important pillar of the Minsk Agreements on the peaceful solution of the situation in Ukraine, and the release of Nadiya Savchenko is a positive step toward the full implementation of those Agreements.
3 Japan believes that the full implementation of the Minsk Agreements by all sides is essential to improving the situation in Ukraine, and continues efforts toward the peaceful solution of the situation.
