Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN

- H.E. Mr. Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN will make a working visit to Japan upon invitation by the Minister for Foreign Affairs from November 5 to 8.
- During his stay in Japan, Secretary-General Minh is scheduled to meet with leading government figures, including Minister for Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida.
- This visit to Japan by Secretary-General Minh comes ahead of the ASEAN-Japan CommemorativeSummit Meeting scheduled to be held in Tokyo in mid-December, which will be extremely significant both in terms of further strenghthening the cooperative relationship between Japan and ASEAN in the 40th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, and from the standpoint of moving steadily forward with preparations toward the Commemorative Summit Meeting at the end of this year.
