The bomb attack in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

- The Government of Japan strongly condemns the bomb attack which took place on June 23, in Bulawayo, Republic of Zimbabwe during a rally for the general elections to be held on July30. The government of Japan expresses its heartfelt sympathy to those who were injured by the attack.
- The Government of Japan is closely monitoring the situation in Zimbabwe, and expects that the upcoming elections will be held in a free, fair and peaceful manner whereby democracy and economic development of the country will be promoted.
