  1. The third meeting of the Advisory Panel on Climate Change with the attendance of Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs was held on April 19, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This meeting marks the twelfth meeting of the Advisory Panel where panel members exchanged views with experts from business sectors, think tanks and international organizations on climate change issue.
  2. At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Kono expressed appreciation to the work of the Advisory Panel. The chair of the panel, Mr. Takejiro Sueyoshi, Special Advisor to UNEP-FI in the Asia Pacific region, responded to the Minister and submitted the recommendations on climate change diplomacy.
  3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will actively engage in climate change diplomacy, incorporating the valuable inputs provided by the Advisory Panel in its recommendations.
