IAEA marine monitoring experts visit Japan

  1. Two experts from the IAEA Environment Laboratories are expected to visit Japan during 16-26 Oct. 2017 for collecting samples of sea water and sediments in the vicinity of TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and fishery products in Fukushima Prefecture.
  2. This visit is part of a project following recommendations made on marine monitoring in a report by the IAEA in 2013 related to the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
