Establishment of a New Cabinet in Lebanon

  1. 　Japan welcomes the formation of the new cabinet headed by Prime Minister Mr. Saad Hariri and expresses its respect to the formation of the cabinet through dialogue and consultation by all relevant parties in Lebanon.
  2. 　Japan believes that stability in Lebanon is indispensable to the stability of the Middle East, from such perspective, Japan hopes that Lebanon will strengthen its political stability under the leadership of the new cabinet and support the efforts by Lebanon.
  3. 　Japan will closely work with the international community including Lebanon to achieve regional stability such as improvement of the situation in Syria and progress towards comprehensive Middle East peace.
