Inquiries and Registration for the General Public

Participation in the Global Forum on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Education is open to members of the general public and is free of charge, although prior registration is required. Individuals will have the opportunity to listen to the speeches and presentations, as well as the panel discussions between invited guests and experts.

Individuals from outside Japan are welcome to attend the Global Forum but are responsible for making their own arrangements for travel to, from, and within Nagasaki, as well as for all necessary visas and other travel documents. The City of Nagasaki cannot dispense information or advice regarding visas or any other matter related to entry into Japan. Individuals are advised to consult the appropriate official Government of Japan websites to ascertain which travel documents they require, and to inquire with the nearest Embassy of Japan if further information or advice is desired.

Please be advised that the Peace Promotion Section cannot respond to requests for tourist information, including requests for lodging assistance. Potential participants are requested to make use of the internet, appropriate tourism authorities, as well as resources in their own country in order to organize their visit to Japan.

In order to be registered to attend the Global Forum, the following information for each individual wishing to participate must be sent by email, post or fax to the Peace Promotion Section, City of Nagasaki, and must arrive by July 31, 2012. Individuals wishing to register are advised that incomplete information in any of the below areas will result in non-registration for the event.
