First Meeting of the Sub-Committee on Rules of Origin, Customs Procedures and Trade Facilitation established under the Free Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (FTEPA) between Japan and Switzerland

- The first meeting of the Sub-Committee on Rules of Origin, Customs Procedures and Trade Facilitation, established under the FTEPA between Japan and Switzerland, was held on 9 February 2011 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo.
- The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Takashi TERAOKA, Senior Deputy Director of Central and South Eastern Europe Division, European Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Arthur MULLER, General Directorate of Customs, Swiss Federal Department of Finance(FDF), Switzerland.
Participants on the Japanese sides were from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, as well as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Participants on the Swiss side were from FDF, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo.
- At the meeting, both sides exchanged views to share the experiences on the implementation of Rules of Origin of the FTEPA.
