Second Meeting of the Joint Committee established under the Free Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (FTEPA) between Japan and Switzerland

  1. The second meeting of the Joint Committee of the FTEPA between Japan and Switzerland was held on 10 February 2011 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo.
  2. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Yoshihiro ISAKA, Deputy Director General of European Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H.E. Ms. Ambassador Marie-Gabrielle INEICHEN-FLEISCH, Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland.

    Participants on the Japanese sides were from the Ministries, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, as well as Economy, Trade and Industry. Participants on the Swiss side were from SECO, Federal Department of Finance and Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo.

  3. The Committee discussed the items such as economic relations and developments as well as implementation of the FTEPA between Japan and Switzerland.
