Courtesy Call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Representatives of the World Cosplay Summit 2016

On August 4, Mr. Makita Shimokawa, Director-General for Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a courtesy call from participants of "World Cosplay Summit 2016" (July 30th - Aug 7th) representing Canada, India, Sweden, and Switzerland. These countries participated in the Summit for the first time.
Mr. Shimokawa stated that he looked forward to the 2016 World Cosplay Championship joined by the four countries in which cosplayers from total 30 countries and regions would compete. He also added that he expect them to visit many places in Japan.
The representatives stated that they were very happy to join the Summit and to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They enjoyed a chat with Mr. Shimokawa in a friendly atmosphere about their enthusiasm for the Summit.
