The Fourth Meeting of the Japan-U.S. Partnership on Trade
On December 14th and 15th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Office of the United States Trade Representative held the fourth round of meetings of the Japan-U.S. Partnership on Trade.
KATAHIRA Satoshi, Director-General of the Economic Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MATSUO Takehiko, Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (online), and Christopher Wilson, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Japan, Korea and APEC and other government officials of both countries attended the meeting. They discussed topics such as digital, critical minerals supply chain, trade practices of third countries, labor, and multilateral cooperation from the viewpoint of strengthening the Japan-U.S. trade cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region as well as their cooperation on global agenda. The attendees also exchanged views on bilateral trade issues.
