Visit to the teamLab Borderless Exhibit at the MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM by Mrs. Abe and Mrs. Trump


1. On May 26, Mrs. Akie Abe, the spouse of Prime Minister Abe visited the teamLab Borderless Exhibit at the MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM in Odaiba with Mrs. Melania Trump, First Lady of the United States of America, who is paying a State Visit to Japan. They were greeted by Mrs. Yoshiko Mori, Chairperson of Mori Art Museum, and accompanied by Mrs. Sugiyama, the spouse of the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and Mrs. Hagerty, the spouse of the United States Ambassador to Japan.
2. They celebrated their reunion shortly after their meeting in this April, and experienced the art with cutting edge digital technology together in extensive 10,000 square meters area. They enjoyed Crystal World, Forest Lamp and Digital aquarium. They intermingled with children from Setagaya ward, which is US’s host town for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games at the Digital aquarium.

It was jointly created and operated by Mori Building Co., Ltd and teamLab in June 2018. The museum provides a world of artworks without boundaries using cutting edge technologies. It is 10,000 square meters.

Setagaya ward was selected to be the host town of US for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and has various cultural exchanges with US.
