From April 26 to May 3, Mrs. Akie Abe visited the United States with Prime Minister Abe. Her visit to the United States was in line with the momentum of further strengthening of the Japan-U.S. relationship created by President Obama’s visit to Japan in April last year and Mrs. Obama’s visit to Japan in March this year. Mrs. Abe’s visit also showed the Japan-U.S. relationship possesses strong connections at various levels through Mrs. Abe’s visits to various sights and interactions with the people involved.
