Mayor of Mas Village, Bali, Indonesia, visited Misato town

Misato town, Shimane Prefecture, has mutual exchanges with Mas Village, Bali, Indonesia, for more than 25 years. On May 27 to 29, Mr. Darmayuda, Mayor of Mas Village visited Misato town and signed an agreement on mutual cooperation in training of garbage disposal system, and acceptance of technical intern trainees and specified skilled workers. During this period, they visited a hydroponics facility of tomatoes and observed an exchange meeting using Skype between junior high school students of Misato town and Mas Village by Skype.

Nara Prefecture promotes their MICE facility

“Nara Convention Center” will be open in Nara Prefecture in spring 2020. This convention center can accommodate 2,000 participants. In addition to the convention facilities, the complex consists of a multipurpose square, restaurants, shops and a bus terminal. Toward its opening, Nara Prefecture has been working on preparation through receiving guidance by specialists on upgraded marketing and promotions. They also made PR movies and join ICCA, the International Congress and Convention Association.

New website “What’s Up Japan”, having comprehensive information of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 for foreign media

New website “What’s Up Japan” (image)

Toward the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, Foreign Press Center Japan will open a website to offer comprehensive information targeted mainly at foreign media in September. They will post articles provided by local governments on their activities related to the Games, information of the venue of the Games, pre-Games training sites and the local attractions around them.
