Media Accreditation
1. Application for Media Accreditation Card
All media representatives wishing to cover the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Tokyo (Iikura Guest House) must apply for and obtain official G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Tokyo media accreditation (a Media Accreditation Card). Applications for Media Accreditation Cards should be accessed the URL as bellow and submitted within the time period specified for all individuals (including messengers and drivers who will enter Iikura Guest House).

2. Media Organization Registration
Media organizations must register their organization’s information in order to get Media Accreditation Cards. One representative of each company (the person in charge of the application) has to submit the documents indicated below under Section 3 to the email address below.

Freelance journalists should apply for Media Accreditation Cards through their affiliated media organizations. Unaffiliated freelance journalists should apply individually for Media Organization Registration.

3. Documents required for Media Organization Registration
Media organization: either the media organization representative’s certificate of employment or a certificate of commercial registration indicating the name of the media organization representative (File format: zip file).
Unaffiliated freelance journalists must also submit the following:
- An article with a byline (the most recent article published on or after October 2022) File format: zip file)
- A letter of recommendation (reference) from a media organization or governmental organization, if available (File format: zip file)
- (For foreign press) A color copy of a regular membership card from the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan (FCCJ), if available (File format: zip file)
4. Notes
- Application for Press IDs on and Media organization registration on after October 25 will not be accepted. All journalists who wish to engage in media coverage at Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Tokyo must apply without delay.
- No International Media Center (IMC) will be set up for this meeting.
- Due to capacity limitations and for security reasons, it is expected that most of the events related to this meeting will be covered only by the host broadcaster, host photographers, or media pool members of participating countries / international organizations. Application for this press pass does not guarantee access to all coverage opportunities.
- Due to security reasons, requests for and issuance of new Media Accreditation Cards will not be accepted at the on-site desk.
- Pertinent information about media coverage and media guidelines will be provided to relevant media organizations in due course.
- Application for and issuance of Media Accreditation Cards do not support or guarantee the acquisition of a visa to entry into Japan.
- All personal information entered on the registration website will be used only for application for and issuance of Media Accreditation Cards or provision of pertinent information about media coverage and media guidelines and will not be shared with a third party other than a consignee based on entrustment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
