Mrs. Akie Abe held a meeting with Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, spouse of H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, on 7 January, 2014. She expressed her gratitude for the warm and heartfelt hospitality extended by Mrs. Erdoğan to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Mrs. Abe during their visit to Turkey in May, 2013. Mrs. Abe also conveyed appreciation for congratulatory messages from the people of Turkey on Tokyo’s election as the host city of 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games.

After the meeting and lunch, they visited “Fukuden kai,” a social welfare corporation, where they were warmly welcomed by the children and elderly people.
