On January 11 local time (on January 11, Japan time), Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, visited Jalazone Refugee Camp, located near Ramallah, to comprehend the situation of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank and to observe Japan’s support for Palestinian state-building efforts on the ground.

During the site visit, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) officials and the camp personnel outlined the current situation and challenges at the Camp as well as cooperation with JICA. The Palestinian side expressed their gratitude for Japan's support for Palestine.
